Olga Pekarskaja

Olga Pekarskaja is a Russian Estonian, she lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia.
Olga is an artist and illustrator who is expert in finding the character in her subjects, this can particularly be seen in the animals she paints, Olga uses different mediums, pencil and ink, watercolour and acrylic, depending on what she wants the art to convey.

Her work is often light-hearted, she likes to find a fun take on her subject, she will sometimes include her environment in her work. A drawing of a cat, its walking through the old of Tallinn wearing a pointed red hat, but she makes the hat a tower rooftop, something which Tallinns old town is famous for.

Olga studied at Tallinn University obtaining a Master of Arts and has exhibited in galleries throughout Estonia. In the past two years she has also been exhibiting at Gallery Rosemount Aberdeen, through which her work has been shown at Aberdeen Art Fair and Cheltenham Art Fair.
