Sarah Spofforth McQuat

Sarah categorises her work as ‘textual art’, finding that this is the best way to describe how her use of mixed media create contemporary artwork with rustic charm. Sarah trained as an Interior Designer at Manchester Metropolitan University, and then went on to work with architects around Liverpool and Manchester, but her passion was art and would paint whenever she got the time. 

Then Sarah met her husband Tom and everything changed, she moved to Scotland to become a farmers wife. Her new surroundings became the source of her inspiration, creating a studio by the cattle shed, Sarah started painting the wildlife and animals she saw on a daily basis. Her work is full of character, vibrant and cheerful.
