Karen uses acrylic paint and mixed media such as inks & pens to create bright, textured pieces with a touch of gold lead for extra sparkle.
Karen loves bright colours and is drawn to painting quirky cities and coastal harbours scenes, she likes to include adventurous, vibrant stick figures exploring their environment and having fun in either in city parks or rocks and cliffs.
Karen has always been interested in travel and different cultures and colourful scenery from around the world, she spent her early years living in Oman and Brunei and spent time travelling around Australia in her 20s. Now based in Aberdeen, Scotland Karen likes to add a little tartan in her paintings where she can.
